What inspired you or motivated you to become a cosmetic dentist?
I chose to become a cosmetic dentist because it has the key elements that I love: art, health and science. I used to be a musician and I have a strong creative side that I can also use towards cosmetic dentistry. Science fascinates me and to me health is very important, which is why I enjoy helping others.”
How do you feel that you are the only cosmetic dentist that does Buccal Fat Pad Reduction?
“It’s a rewarding title to have in North America and it’s what makes my services unique. Loads of customers have been pleased with the results that I’ve delivered.”
What’s the most positive experience you’ve had from your job?
“It may sound cliche, but making people smile is important to me and I find it amazing how I can give that to someone by transforming their look and character overnight. It’s very rewarding.”
What do you do in your own time when you’re not working?
“I love travelling, it’s a form of relaxation. So far I have been to 50 countries and Maldives has been my favourite destination. It’s a gorgeous place. I also love playing tennis as a sport.”
Are you still into making music?
“Yes, even though I used to be a musician, I still love making music. I love to sing and it’s something that’s a part of who I am.”
What do you love about El Paso, Texas?
“There’s a reason why it has sun city as a nickname, because there’s always sunshine and I love that.”
Can you tell us a random fact about yourself?
“I can speak four languages: English, Farsi, Turkish and Arabic.”
Where did you grow up?
“I was born in Iran, but I grew up in Los Angeles.”
What has been a negative experience as a cosmetic dentist?
“A negative experience for me is when I found out that one of the cancer patients I treated passed away. It was very sad and devastating news, but the patient’s parents did give me a letter and in it the patient explained how I cheered them up with the free dental treatment. It was just a very sad experience,but it makes me want to continue to help people even more by making them smile through the toughest times.”
