Dr. Mullins attained his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He then did an internship at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, accompanied by three years on active duty. Dr. Mullins served during his tenure in private practice, departing in 2014 as the Chief Medical Officer of the Georgia National Guard following 41 years in the US Air Force.
After returning to Atlanta, Dr. Mullins underwent residency training in general surgery at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital and Emory University Hospital. After completing his residency, Dr. Mullins conducted a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Jackson’s University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Dr. Mullins holds credentials as a wound care expert, a laser specialist, and a hyperbaric oxygen therapist. Besides, he is also a board-certified plastic surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
