Here is How You Can Get Rid of Dark Circles in just Simple 7 Ways

Are you troubling yourself with skin worries? Then, don’t worry, you are not alone. Skin issues and skincare has been a hot topic since ancient times. With the advent of technology, skincare products have improved a lot but are equally expensive as well. Even I, who had a natural clear skin, had to visit Mayo hospital for my dark circles. Obviously, as I entered university, the load of studies increased and I had no time to comb my hair and I ended up having dry lifeless skin.

If you have good skin, then you are really lucky; however, not caring about your skin would give you nothing but a headache as you would be investing a lot on skin products.

Anyways, now coming back to the dark circle, my medical specialist in Lahore drafted a meal plan for me as one of the reasons for having dark circles was a nutritional deficiency.

Apart from visiting a doctor, here are some tips that will help you in getting rid of the dark circles. Firstly, let me tell you that anyone can get a dark circle so no need to worry. It is easy to get dark circles as the area around the eyes is thin. You would naturally have dark circles if you skip your sleep or are sleeping late at night.

So, it’s time to say Goodbye to your Dark Circle and here is how you can do that.

1. Stay Hydrated

You might have already known about how hydration can help you with your overall skin. As for your dark circles, the area around your eyes is thin therefore it needs extra care. In order to keep your under-eye hydrated apply under-eye cream or gel as it is recommended. There is no oil gland in your under-eye area hence, it is recommended to apply the aforementioned eye care products.

In order to get better results and prevent the wrinkles, dark circles and other fine lines, you need to do it daily before going to sleep.

2. Clean under-Eye with Care

You need to be careful while cleaning and washing under the eye. Using regular face wash here might remove the moisture and leave the under-eye area dry and itchy. So, here, you can use gentle tissue wipes or even a wet cotton ball or opt for eye makeup remover specifically made for this reason. Even then, avoid rubbing it with force.

3. Under Eye Gel

Under-eye gels are very effective in providing you with a soothing effect. Gels, especially with vitamin C, E and aloe vera, are particularly good in this as it helps in collagen production as well as protecting the skin.

4. Face Yoga

Face yoga might be a new term for you, however, as per experts, you need to add face yoga in your daily routine to prevent dark circles, wrinkles and keeping the lines away.

Now for those who don’t know how to do face yoga, here is how you do it:

  • Firstly, in the middle of your eyebrows, place your both middle fingers.
  • Now using your index fingers, apply the pressure towards the outer corner of your eyes.
  • After this, look upward and now you need to move your lower eyelids upwards so that it appears like a squint.
  • Now relax your eyes.
  • Repeat this for 6 times.
  • In the end, before finishing, you need to squeeze your eyes. Shut them for 10 seconds and then relax.

5. Home Remedies

I am sure, many of you must be already doing some home remedies such as cucumber slices on your eyes. Cucumber slices are undoubtedly good but here is another better option i.e. using cold ice tea bags on your eyes particularly green tea. Green tea is rich in antioxidants. So, next time before you think of throwing those tea bags, you need to store them in the fridge. After this, you can easily use them on your areas around the eyes, and eyelids to relax your eyes.

Using ice cubes is another way to get rid of the puffiness around your eyes.

6. Use concealer

Well, when nothing comes handy during urgency, make-up is always your saviour. You can easily use it to conceal your dark circles and fine lines. But, before you apply it readily, you need to moisturize your area under eye properly with the help of a ring finger. You can use any cream or gel to moisturize. Once you are done with the moisturizer, you can apply concealer in the form of tiny dots and using your finger, blend it accordingly. Now, after this in order to avoid smudging, you need to apply the loose powder.

7. Adopt a Healthy Lifestyle

Even if you are following the skincare routine but have a messy lifestyle you need to stop and change it. Unbalanced diet, lack of sleep, smoking, tiredness and even alcohol is responsible for puffiness and dark circles. So, make sure that you eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep and even avoid consuming alcohol.

In the End,

Your dark circles can really affect your whole look, so if nothing at your end works even after modifying your lifestyle habit, you need to visit a skin specialist who can help you with this.
